Performance Data and Results

Blackpool Skills Academy is committed to providing parents, carers, students and stakeholders with clear and accurate information about student achievement, progress and destinations.

As a newly registered independent school, we are currently building our first set of validated performance information. We are proud of the achievements our students are already making and will continue to publish information as it becomes available.

Assessment and Progress

Assessment at Blackpool Skills Academy is designed to help students understand their strengths, recognise their achievements and identify the next steps in their learning journey.

We use a combination of baseline assessments, ongoing formative assessment, vocational performance, personal development measures and accredited qualifications to monitor progress. Assessment information is used to inform teaching, support interventions and celebrate achievement.

For students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), progress towards individual outcomes and targets is monitored through Individual Learning Plans and our student records system.

Published Performance Data

Blackpool Skills Academy was registered as an independent school in 2025 and has not yet completed a full reporting cycle for validated national performance measures.

As a result, published performance data is not currently available through the Department for Education.

When validated performance data becomes available, it will be published on this page and through the Department for Education's Compare School and College Performance service.

Student Achievement and Destinations

Although validated national performance measures are not yet available, we are pleased to celebrate the achievements of our students during 2025.

To protect student confidentiality, particularly where cohort sizes are small, results may be reported using group totals and percentages rather than individual outcomes.

Student Achievements in 2025

  • 4 students achieved Functional Skills Mathematics Entry Level 3
  • 4 students achieved Functional Skills English Entry Level 3
  • 1 student achieved Functional Skills English Level 1
  • 1 student achieved Functional Skills Mathematics Level 1

Student Destinations in 2025

  • 2 students progressed to Apprenticeships in Bricklaying
  • 1 student progressed to an Apprenticeship in Joinery
  • 1 student progressed to a Level 2 Catering programme

Preparing students for successful progression into education, employment and training is a key measure of success at Blackpool Skills Academy, and destination outcomes will continue to be reported as the school grows.

Ofsted and Parent Feedback

Blackpool Skills Academy welcomes feedback from parents and carers. Ofsted's Parent View service enables parents to share their views about the school and their child's experience.

Complete Ofsted Parent View for Blackpool Skills Academy

As a newly registered school, Blackpool Skills Academy has not yet received its first full graded Ofsted inspection. Information about future inspections and reports will be published on our Ofsted and Parent View page.

Looking Ahead

We are proud of the progress our students have already made during our first year of operation and look forward to sharing future performance, qualification and destination data as additional cohorts complete their studies.

Our focus remains on ensuring every student develops the qualifications, confidence, personal skills and employability attributes needed for a successful future.
